Modern Slavery Statement
Our commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.
Last updated: May 2026
1. Introduction
This statement sets out the steps taken by Angel Tech Ltd, trading as Hawthorne Recovery Services, to understand and minimise the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. It is published in support of the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We have zero tolerance for slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking in any form.
2. Our business
Hawthorne Recovery Services provides commercial debt recovery and credit management services to businesses in the United Kingdom. Our operations are office-based and our workforce is employed directly by us within the UK.
3. Our supply chains
Our supply chains are limited and consist principally of professional services, software and IT providers, and office suppliers. We consider the risk of modern slavery within these supply chains to be low, but we remain alert to it and assess new suppliers accordingly.
4. Our policies
We operate recruitment and employment practices that ensure all staff have the right to work in the UK and are paid at least the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage. Our staff are employed under fair, lawful contracts of employment, and we maintain policies covering whistleblowing and equal opportunities.
5. Due diligence
We expect all suppliers and business partners to share our commitment to ethical conduct and to comply with applicable anti-slavery legislation. Where we identify a potential risk, we will investigate it and take appropriate action, which may include ending a business relationship.
6. Awareness and training
We raise awareness among our staff of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking, and of how to recognise and report concerns. Any concern can be raised confidentially with management.
7. Approval
This statement has been approved by the directors of Angel Tech Ltd and will be reviewed and updated annually.
